Treasure Hunt with NYX Jumbo Pencils in Cherry and Orange!

I cannot begin to explain how freaking hard it was to find NYX's Jumbo Pencils in Orange and Cherry.  Along with Yellow and Hot Pink, I believe they're discontinued which sucks hard.  It's so difficult to find a good, matte cream shadow.  They make amazing bases for shadows but companies seem intent on ignoring that fact.  Yellow is the one I wanted most, but I'm thinking that's a feat I'll never succeed at.  But I do have swatches of Cherry and Orange for ya!

That Awkward Moment When You Think You've Blogged Something That You Really Didnt...NYX Jumbo Pencils Review

I would've put money on the fact that I've already reviewed NYX's Jumbo Eye Pencils.  In fact, I'm still not completely convinced I didn't.  But when I was writing a post on more Jumbo Pencil swatches and tried to link back to the review, it was nowhere to be found so I'm reviewing it now.  Apologies if I have, indeed, posted this before.

NYX Round Lipsticks Swatches!

You all know my love for NYX's Mega Shine Lip Glosses (reviews here and here), but I haven't yet raved about the company's other wonder:  their Round Lipsticks!  Aside from them being even cheaper than the glosses already are, they go on incredibly smooth and remain lightweight and creamy throughout wear.  And like the glosses, the lipsticks come in a multitude of colors, boasting an unprecedented well over 120 shades!.  I'm talking, any and every shade you can imagine!  I have started my collection with only 3 since I'm not a big lipstick wearer, but that soon may change....  Swatches after jump!

NYX Liquid Crystal Liner Swatches!

L-R:  Crystal Gold, Crystal Jade, Crystal Hip,
Crystal Pink, Crystal Pewter, Crystal Aqua
During the fabulous 40% off sale on NYX products Ulta had a few weeks ago I snatched up some of their Liquid Crystal Liners.  I'm a big fan of glitter liners because you can get the za za zoo of glitter without the mess of glitter fallout.  I haven't used these yet but I figured I'd throw some swatches your way.  If they turn out to be a lot better (or worse) than I figured they be, I'll let you know :)
Swatches L-R:  Crystal Pink, Crystal Pewter, Crystal Hip, Crystal Jade,
Crystal Gold, Crystal Aqua
Even though it's the least pigmented of the pack, I'm excited to see how Crystal Hip turns out.  I feel like it's going to give the eyes a subtle bit of electric...we shall see!  Crystal Pewter is a unique one too.  It's got a mixture of pink, lavendar, and blue glitters!

NYX Mega Shine Lip Glosses: A Love Affair Part 2

Continuing on to Part 2 of my NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss review, today I'm giving swatches of the rest of my collection and a final review at the end.  And if you haven't already, check out Part 1 here!

NYX Mega Shine Lip Glosses: A Love Affair Part 1

There aren't too many products I would consider to be my all-time favorite, so much so that I don't foresee a chance in the future that I it may not be my favorite any longer.  In fact, there is only one such product for me:  NYX Mega Shine Lip Glosses.  I'm very picky when it comes to glosses.  They can't be sticky at all and I want some color payoff.  NYX has that covered and then some and they're super affordable!  I have 11 of these wonders so I'm going to split this into 2 parts, with the formal review given in the second.  The first part will be the more nude/non-pinky shades.  Continue for swatches!

Soft Yet Festive St. Patrick's Day Eyes

My look for this year's St. Patrick's Day is quite similar to the Grinch look I did for the Holidays 2011, but I thought that look translated well for this.  However I receded the green a bit more and went sheerer with the lighter, golden colors.  This look would work best for those of you who might not yet be totally comfortable with bright colors on your eyes but still want to dress up for the day.  It could also work for a more professionally-appropriate look for any daytime festivities you might be taking part in at work or school.  The dots placed in the upper-inner corner were smudged in a way that from a distance I think they could be mistaken  for shamrocks (especially if you've had a bit of that green beer) so this a very simple way to do a design on your lids if you aren't artistically inclined (like me). My Go-To Going-Out Look

There are days when I know that I'm going to be doing something other than just work, lying around the house, or just going to the store.  I just don't know at the time what that's going to be.  My friends and I are pretty spontaneous so there have been many occasions when, at the last minute, we decide we're going to a movie, a restaurant, or a bar.  For times like these when I have no idea what to expect from an excursion, this look is what I go for.  It's fairly simple and neutral so it will go with whatever I wear.  Also, it's just dramatic enough to be appropriate for various night activities but light enough to be worn during the day.  List of products after the jump!

NYX 10-Color Eyeshadow Palette Swatches Part 1: Brights!

I've gotten a lot of question about the colors I used in my Secret Garden look so I figured I'd throw up some swatches of not only the NYX Secret Garden palette, but all the 10-Color palettes I own.  I've had these for some time and they've remained on the top of my "So Glad I Have These In My Life" list since I bought them.  The grand majority of these shadows are velvety smooth and beautifully pigmented.  They include a good variety of matte, satin, and shimmer shades and vary from essential nudes/naturals to bright and vibrant.  For Part 1, I'm going to present the brighter palettes:  Velvet Rope, Secret Garden, and Haute Model.  Check out their swatches after the jump!

FOTD: Secret Garden

Today's FOTD is a look that I used to all the time when I first got the NYX Secret Garden palette.  If you don't already have this palette, you should get it because it's absolutely gorgeous.  It really does remind of me of a secret garden, with beautiful greens and an array of dazzling sparkle-y shades to create a variety of gorgeous looks.  Come to think about it, I'll probably put up a swatch post of all the 10-color palettes from NYX that I own, as they truly are phenomenal.  But for today, here's a glowy whimsical look to try :)  List of products after the jump!

Revlon 16 Hour Shadow Quad Comparisons

Yesterday in my Revlon Colorstay 16 Hour Shadow Quad Review in Precocious, I promised a post comparing shadows that I already have with the shadows in the Revlon quad, so here it is.  As noted in the review, I wasn't too impressed with this quad in particular, but if you're looking for some dupes or similar shades of shadows from brands like Urban Decay, you might be really happy to get this quad.  Read on for shadow comparisons and swatches (Warning, a little pic heavy)!

FOTD: If Summer Won't Come to You....

I miss Summer!  Even though I shouldn't really be complaining since I'm not sure that the Winter is actually even here yet.  I mean, it's January and today where I live it's supposed to 61 today.  Wtf?  But either way, I was in a summer kind of mood today so I thought I'd do a simple summery look to remind me of what's to come.  List of products after the jump!

FOTD: You're a Mean One, Mrs. Grinch...

It's that time of the year again, folks!  So, of course it is my blogging duty to shell out some holiday looks.  Now, I know holiday looks from various blogs/youtube channels can get a little repetitive after awhile so I tried taking a different approach:  The Grinch!  I loved the Jim Carrey version of this classic Dr. Seuss story so I was uber-excited to create a look inspired by the beloved grump.  List of products used after the jump!
