Sample Sunday: Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy Total Care Shampoo & Conditioner

A couple of months ago I was sent deluxe sample-sized bottles of Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy products from Influenster.  At the time, I had heard a lot about this new hair care brand but didn't intend on trying it since I have more than enough of hair products that I have yet to finish.  So were it not for Influenster I don't think I would've every tried this stuff out, which would've been a real shame.

I received a shampoo and a conditioner from their Total Care line.  It claimed that these products would "nourish scalp for strong, beautiful hair".  I love the idea that this stuff was made to target not only your hair, but your scalp also.  When you think about it, you scalp IS where you hair grows from, so healthy scalp should equal a higher likelihood that your hair will be healthy as well.  It's a wonder that most other brands don't adopt a similar philosophy.  I mean, we nourish our cuticles so our nails grow healthier, why not our scalp too?

I've used these 2 in conjunction with one another 2 or 3 times now and so far, so good.  The smell of both reminds me of Pantene.  Not that they are the same, but just a similar.....essence, maybe?  It's a fresh, clean hair smell.

In terms of just the shampoo, it cleanses my hair without any type of stripping or drying out my strands.  Was it life changing?  No, but it was fine.  I can count on one hand the amount of shampoos that how actually wowed me, so I'm just not the type to typically notice too much when it comes to them.

As for the conditioner, I really do like this.  It softens my hair and doesn't leave my hair too tangled as I'm washing it out.  I also notice my hair being softer once it dries.  And another plus, it completely washes out of my hair, a problem I find I consistently have with Pantene.

Would I be interested in purchasing a full size, based on this sample?  Yes!

I don't know specifically about the shampoo since I really don't tend to notice a difference between most of them, but I'm definitely going to look into a conditioner.  Clear has other collections of products for different hair needs like dryness, color care, strengthening, etc. to fit any of your preferences.

I couldn't really get a feel for whether or not it actually improved the health of my scalp since it was only a smaller size, but once I get a larger bottle I'll be sure to let you know.

For more information on Clear Hair Care products, you can view their website here.  If you're interested in just trying out some products from the brand, I've actually seen the sample size that I received for sale at my local drugstores for a couple dollars, that way you can try it before you dish out too much cash :)
