Soft Yet Festive St. Patrick's Day Eyes

My look for this year's St. Patrick's Day is quite similar to the Grinch look I did for the Holidays 2011, but I thought that look translated well for this.  However I receded the green a bit more and went sheerer with the lighter, golden colors.  This look would work best for those of you who might not yet be totally comfortable with bright colors on your eyes but still want to dress up for the day.  It could also work for a more professionally-appropriate look for any daytime festivities you might be taking part in at work or school.  The dots placed in the upper-inner corner were smudged in a way that from a distance I think they could be mistaken  for shamrocks (especially if you've had a bit of that green beer) so this a very simple way to do a design on your lids if you aren't artistically inclined (like me). List of products used after the jump!

Products Used:

  • Jordana Bright Eyes Liner in Green as a base on outer half of lid
  • Stila Kajal Liner in Emerald for dots and on the water line, smudged out on bottom lash line
    • As you apply shadow over them redraw the dots so you don't lose too much intensity.  This will also give the dots a bit of a smudgy look
  • NYX Secret Garden Runway Palette (Medium Grass Green shade) patted over base.
  • NYX Secret Garden Runway Palette (Light Yellow Green shade) blended lightly through the middle of lid and over dots
  • NYX Makeup Artist Palette (Golden Yellow shade) lightly swept over the yellow green shade to increase the yellow tinge of the color and to give the dots a golden sheen
  • NYX Secret Garden Runway palette (Light Minty Green shade) swept lighly on brow bone as a highlight
  • NYX Secret Garden Runway palette (Dark Green shade) patted in outer corner and blended out
  • Physicians Formula Gel Liner Strips in Green Eyes (green liner only) winged out on top lash line
  • e.l.f. Brightening Eye Liner along inner corner and inner half of bottom lashline
  • Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara
  • Maybelline One by One Mascara
