How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.....
This is the first "gel-cream" moisturizer I've ever used on my face or otherwise. I always figured that this type of moisturizer would be targeted towards more combination skin with it's lighter properties than traditional creams. With Garnier Moisture Rescue though, the key difference between it being a gel base as opposed to cream-based to me is it's more hydrating than just moisturizing. What's the difference you might ask? I'm not completely sure lol but it makes sense in my head. I guess what I'm getting at is that with my old cream moisturizers I kind of felt like they were just creating a barrier on my face to keep any moisture that was already in my face from escaping. I never feel like it was adding much to my skin though. But using Moisture Rescue feels like my skin is getting a nice, refreshing drink of water. It actually adds something to my skin rather than only protecting it from further moisture loss.
As the packaging suggests, it is very refreshing as well which I especially love for the summer months. I sweat very easily and using this after my toner feels like heaven. It sinks right in and doesn't smother my pores. Usually in the winter, however, there are times when this isn't quite heavy duty enough so I'll use Garnier in the morning and then my St. Ives moisturizer at night for an extra boost. I said usually because this year the area where I live didn't really have much of a winter at all so I was able, for the most part, to get away with just using Moisture Rescue.
Bottom Line: Amber LOVES!!!!!! <3<3<3<3<3
I do also want to mention that this stuff smells heavenly. You see the part on the packaging that says it was Grape Water Extract? Take a minute to imagine in your mind just what that would smell like, because that's the exact scent. Like if you took the freshest grapes and purest water and threw it on your face. It's not a fake scent at all, I love it!
No matter what kind of skin you have, I beg you to check this out if you aren't satisfied with your current moisturizer. I think it would work for everyone whether you have dry, oily, or combo skin. You can check it out at the Garnier website and purchase where Garnier skincare is sold for around $8 (love the budget-friendly price tag too!)
I really wanted to love this! But my skin is really sensitive so it broke me out after 5 mins of having used it :/
ReplyDeleteUgh, that sucks! I wonder if it was the fragrance that bothered you? I do love the scent but I can imagine it may be bothersome because it's so prominent.
